A shiver runs through her body and Vanya frowns.
It’s like the temperature in the room just dropped and suddenly it’s freezing.The dark yellow light that shines through the bulb and lightens the room disappears.
“Hello Number Seven.”
Vanya swallows, and her heart races a mile a minute as she turns. In front of her, blocking the light bulb that filters throughout the small room, is a cloud of black smoke -shadows?- . With two bright, glowing white eyes that stare down at her, eyes attached to the body of man with wisps of smoke on the edges of him. A man with no hair to speak of and appears to be in his early forties.
If she can even call him a man at all.
More like some sort of shadow man.
