Summary
Gabriel takes a second to marvel, again, at the fact that he’s actually taking up his responsibilities after all those years spent running around as a pagan god. But somebody has to fix the mess that warring angelic factions made amongst the Host, and since Gabriel now ranks the highest in Heaven, it’s up to him.

Summary
She’s heard the rumors, spread by kids of hunters behind the backs of their parents. Whispers of a particular demon that doesn’t make deals but makes trades instead, that barters not with souls but with sacrifice and grit and will, whose eyes are black and not red. A demon that only appears to children and only if they call. Only if they truly need help.

Summary
On the fourth day, it becomes clear that Joe is organizing something—more muscle than usual, a few more Black Mask affiliates than there should be. The few glimpses of Joe that Dick gets, he’s on his phone, speaking rapidly and gesturing emphatically.
On the fifth day, everything is quiet. No one comes, no one goes.
On the sixth day, Tim calls Dick: they’re not sure where Jason is. And yeah, maybe that’s just normal, and they’re not panicking yet. But they’re not sure where he is. And they’re about to start looking.
And on the seventh day, Bruce shows up at his door with Jason standing next to him, pale and hacking out a cough, putting too much weight on Bruce’s shoulder, and says: “I need to ask you a favor.”
OR
Dick is supposed to be on a boring stakeout assignment. Jason complicates that.
OR
“I’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU.” “IT’S ROTTEN WORK.” “NOT TO ME. NOT IF IT’S YOU.”

Summary
*This story is a stand-alone story, all stories in this series are stand-alones*
He was three steps away when he heard it.
"—and how is that even POSSIBLE?" He recognized the voice immediately. Tim. And he sounded... not good.
Jason should have left. Should have just aborted the mission and come back another time when Tim wasn't around. That was the smart play. The tactical play. But curiosity was a bitch, and Jason found himself moving toward the sound instead of away from it. He peered around the doorframe and saw Tim in his office, pacing like a caged animal with at least five empty coffee cups scattered across his desk. The kid looked like he hadn't slept in a week. Maybe longer.
Oh, for fuck's sake.

Summary
“Shoulder harness?” Matt asked. Alfred nodded. “Anything else on you other than those two guns?”
“Yes.”
“How many?”
“At least two more.”
Bruce threw his hands up. “Alfred.”
“Master Wayne,” Alfred said, shooting a fond look over his shoulder. “I do believe we’re in the middle of a pat down, if you wouldn’t mind.”
