Maybe Jazmine was the only one who would show it off—the way she showed off every tooth she lost. A late bloomer, innocent and unaware, waiting for those same changes to find her too. Even if it hurt, she would take it. By then, she probably wouldn't need to lose any more teeth. The thought lifted something in him. Huey finally felt a little relieved.
