"Oh, sorry, shall I come back tomorrow? I had to ask around for a while until I found this place", someone says behind him, and Max's entire body freezes in place. When he turns around, sir Daniel's looking straight at him. He smiles when Max stares.
"If you're looking for my father, he's already gone for the day", he says, proud of how steady his voice comes out.
"Ah, well, good thing I was looking for you then", the knight replies, smile widening even further if possible, and Max's brain short-circuits.
