It’s been many years since Marinette took the mantle off guardian and even longer since she became ladybug. After Gabriel had been defeated, the new villain arose: Chrysalis. They have been going at her and Chat for too long, and her identity is at risk. When things look dire, the results of her application come in, she’s gotten into Gotham Academy, a full ride!
Whilst she’s in Gotham, she keeps running into the vigilantes of the city, in and out of costume. They’re suspicious of her, as she is of them. Despite her double life, her personal life progresses well, until eventually things start to go south.
Join Marinette once again in her misfortune and chaos led life. Will she able to save herself, her people or will she lose herself in the process.

This is the second arc of the Damian Dupain-Cheng series.
An unexpected person appears in Marinette and Damian's lives and threatens to take Damian away from Marinette, meanwhile Damian has to figure out how to deal with the fact that he has a family now, including grandparents who are nice? (it freaks him out) Building relationships is harder than Damian anticipated, especially since he has trouble understanding people. Then everything becomes even more complicated when Damian learns about his father. Then his is torn between staying loyal to his new family or meeting his biological father and risk losing it all.

She was Marinette and she was tired. Tired of fighting villains, tired of bearing witness to those she loved turn their backs on her, tired of tiptoeing around her own city whenever she had to go out. Tired of having to watch her back, of having to record every conversation lest it be used against her. Of not being able to just exist as a normal teenager.
Normal teenagers were not forced to leave their home country for an indefinite amount of time to stay with people they do not know.OR
Marinette is sent to live with her father in Gotham. No one is amused.

Hiccup, finally convinced, turns around one last time before saying goodbye to go back to his father and Gobber, and waves at the gentle stranger who helped him.
The stranger smiles at him, although Hiccup can't see it, due to the perpetual blur on their face, he can feel that they're smiling warmly at him. And then they speak and, at last, he does remember their words:
“Goodbye, hatchling.”
