Summary
Miller scoffed, looking down into his lap. He said nothing for a while.
“I am your mentor, not your friend.”
“Uh huh,” David remarked bitterly.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Would it have been worse not knowing? David knows what he feels towards his Master is wrong, and he knows Miller would never reciprocate. Miller is an enigma of mixed signals and anger, bothered by something David could never come close to understanding. He will try, though.
