Euijoo doesn’t know about vetiver or wild bluebells or ripe summer fruits or anything like that. When he gets close enough, lucky enough, to catch the scent of Nicholas, he can’t pin it down to anything in particular—except warm and home and mate. God, he hasn’t even had a home for that long. They barely make their train, yes, but they do make it, and they check in with Euijoo once they’re able to sit that yes, their next client will be waiting for them and no, they shouldn’t keep her waiting and yes, Euijoo will be at home with his supplies if they need to be patched up. Nicholas promises him a kiss. Euijoo tells them he doesn’t know where their mouth has been. Nicholas sends a middle finger emoji.
(Nicholas runs high-profile errands for high-profile people. It's not an easy job.)

“I think I’m ready,” Nicholas announced during dinner, peering up at Euijoo through his thick lashes, ears laying flat against his head.
Euijoo had choked on his drink, spluttering and coughing as he attempted to catch his breath after being so rudely attacked by his boyfriend. “S- Sorry?” Euijoo asked, but his own ears betrayed him, already twitching with interest.
Nicholas laughed, a small, shy thing that warmed Euijoo from the inside out. “I said,” he leaned in, nuzzling Euijoo’s nose with his own. “I think I’m ready.” The look in his eyes was so pointed that it made Euijoo flush.
