Summary
Shidou Ryusei is a quiet, easily irritated manga nerd who just wants to play his video games, read his books, and be left entirely alone. Itoshi Sae is a chaotic, failing frat boy who can’t even bother to pull his pants up or pass a basic class.
When Principal Darwin realizes Sae is on the fast track to flunking out, he resorts to the only thing that works: pure, unadulterated bribery. By offering Shidou a mountain of free manga and a staggering fifty bucks an hour, a deal is struck. Shidou thinks he's just securing his cash—until he receives a barrage of text messages from an unknown number asking if his name means "dragon samurai warrior."
Now trapped in a tutoring contract with a guy who doesn't have two matching brain cells to rub together, Shidou is about to learn that fifty dollars an hour might not be enough to survive the semester.

You’re a semi-famous singer of a Japanese rock band. Your ten-day Madrid tour starts tomorrow. What do you do?
A) Lock in and do normal things
B) Realize that your childhood best friend, whom you haven’t talked to in five years, lives in Spain, then spend the rest of the trip trying to chase down that childhood friend in hopes of reconnecting
C) The same as option b, except…you’re also hopelessly in love with said childhood friend.
D) Let your wild-ish tendencies ruin the whole trip, because you only have one shot at this, and you actually can’t mess this up.
You probably picked option A. Ryusei Shidou, notably, picks everything else.

Summary
She watched as Sae dropped her two cards on the table without much care, as if she were accustomed to the motion and it was just another regular Tuesday for her.
Sae put her chin on her left hand, using her other free hand to point lazily to her set of cards, then at Shidou’s, “Three sevens wins over your two pairs,” she said, utterly bored. She picked up the discarded cards on the table and put them back with the rest, shuffling them while she stared at Shidou.
She leaned over the table to leave the deck of cards in the middle, her stare fixed on Shidou like a predatory animal ready to jump over its next meal. “Well?” she asked, expectantly.
Or; Shidou and Sae play a game of strip poker to see who can get the other naked first. Things escalate.
