Summary
Alexandra Cabot, the Homicide Bureau Chief, comes to Casey Novak's office regularly, for idle chatter, for complaining. When she comes in dazed and having apparently just hooked up with her subordinate, she asks Casey for help understanding why the hell she did that- and Casey teaches her exactly how well she understands her.
I'll be the first to admit this work got away from me. I wanted to write something to explore the affair Alex has with Steele in Conviction, coupled with the idea that because of the overlapping plot lines Casey would've been the active ADA for SVU while Alexandra was the homicide bureau chief.. and I imagine they'd be friends. I woke up eight hours later having written 13k words about these two being very despairingly in love with each other. Enjoy?
