“I’m worried ‘bout Kai,” Beomgyu confessed to Soobin inside their trailer, after Kai had told him about goldfish being cut open in his sleep. “S’been havin’ nightmares ‘bout ya.”
“Maybe if he didn’t watch what he ain’t supposed to, he wouldn’t be havin’ them bad dreams.” Soobin replied, throwing himself onto the mattress with a satisfied groan.
Torn between lavender flowers and thorns, Beomgyu had to make a decision. Or maybe not choose at all.

“You oughta be more careful,” Kai murmured to Beomgyu’s flushing face, fingerprint brushing over glossy lips. “Ain’t hard to hear you from a mile away.”
His whisper faded into the night, just like his thumb between parted lips. Beomgyu took him so easily, without objection, it made Kai ache to push deeper.
One night he would. He was determined.
Endless summers working at the carnival simmered Kai’s love for Beomgyu, degree by degree, to the point of burning.

Soobin grimaces. “Don’t call us that right now, dude.”
“Listen,” Kai leans forward a bit, meeting Soobin’s gaze to drive his point home better. “I’m happy to help you guys out. The only bad thing about this is that I’m going to be hooking up with a bloodsucker.”

Summary
Meet Soobin, our awkward medical student by day, but necromancer in training by night. One night he stumbles across a body of a young man his age in the park. A dead body. Perfect. He drags the corpse back home to his basement as his new project and accidently, but not so accidently brings the body back to life. As alive as a zombie can be anyway….
The result? A sassy, free-willed zombie, who has no recollection of his past life and who believes Soobin is the one who murdered him. Mind you, said zombie does not possess your stereotypical zombie look, but might even look better than before his death. Project succeeded? Soobin has to re-evaluate on that.

At least that’s what everyone thought of the golden boy.
Soobin lost everything, not that he had much to begin with. But all he gains as he moves from his hometown to Seoul, is a shitty roommate full of shitty secrets.

When Beomgyu decides to go stay with his aunt on the coast of Maine for a few weeks, he's looking for some peace and quiet to figure out what to do next. He's definitely not running away from anything, no, not at all. And he's definitely not falling in love with the handsome young lobsterman who treats Beomgyu with the all the care and tenderness he never knew he craved.
He's definitely going back to the city. Soon. He just wants to stay a little longer...
