“Very rude, Rose Tyler.” The Doctor forced himself to release her then, pulling away before he lost control, swept her into his arms and ran off. He stepped back and shoved his hands into his pockets if only to keep them to himself. “Well, then. Goodbye, Rose Tyler,” he said, repeating her name just for the sake of it. Just because he could.
Still smiling that soft smile, she said, “Goodbye, Doctor.”
