Summary
A story taking place just before/after the ending of Baldur's Gate 3, full of possessive Ascended Astarion, heartbroken Spawn Gale, and drama from several of the other origins.
An alternate ending to my previous work "Broken Together", about what would have happened if things had played out a bit differently and Astarion had ascended. This should still be coherent if you haven't read the original work, as long as you're familiar with the game. No feel goods here though, just angst, trauma, gaslighting, and more angst. If you want fluff, read the original.

Summary
He can see it now: Their team toppled over, exhausted, hope lost. Bloodied, battered and bruised… sobbing at the acceptance of death before them. And then the wizard turns around. He imparts them a quiet melancholy smile. His eyes flicker to Astarion's and the vampire sees it: the decision made without his input. Gale mouths an, “I love you,” before snapping his fingers. Astarion and the rest are teleported to safety and in the distance they see an explosion.
Astarion shakes his head, “No! Stop!” His hand frees from under his lover as he rubs both his hands across his face. Gale awakens suddenly, eyes wide and in a split second he's up running his hands through his curls, soothing the rogue.
“My love! Are you alright? What ever is the matter?!”
Astarion swats his hands away. “You! You fool! And you would do it, too!”

Or: a series of vignettes (mostly from Act 3) of the couple's budding romance. Syrupy sweet, it'll give you diabetes.

Summary
She will burn the nest of poison vipers that calls itself House Baenre to the ground and their monstrous goddess with them. She will take control, reshape their world in her image, and she will smile as her mother rots in a sunlit flowery grave.
And then, once their conquest is complete, she will return to Waterdeep with her wizard and lay in this bed with him (annoyed, because he didn’t close the curtains properly and the sun is creeping in through the crack). It will be so, it will be good.

There were key moments in Anders’ life that eventually forged the mage he was to become, famously and infamously. And all of those moments seemed to involve a certain wizard by the name of Gale Dekarios who had an annoying habit of appearing at the worst possible time.
And Gale? Well, he felt quite awful about all of it.
