He used to believe love was something you could manage. That it could be compartmentalized, like business meetings, like investments, like guilt, something you put in a folder and closed when the workday ended. Loosen the tie. Light up a cigar. Pour some whiskey. Let it all float away. That’s how it was in his first marriage. And when they met across the table to sign the divorce papers, they did so with polite, well-bred smiles and no hard feelings.
But with Carrie, there were no compartments. No edges. Just the endless sprawl of wanting and the shame that came with it.

Hughie has only glimpsed Supe kids. Stillwell’s kid and Ryan, who's always looked more like Becca than Homelander. Which is kinda funny. If anything, it’s John who looks more like Homelander, practically a spitting image—
Hughie’s hand freezes. Blond strands spilling between his fingers. He takes a second look at John.
