He saw human ruins hiding mysteries or great discoveries, images printed on papers as if they could capture the soul of those who had created them, strange and terribly powerful weapons or thousands of words hidden in unintelligible symbols that seemed to conceal the truth of the world. Through her memory, Noa felt he could go beyond the limits of his village, that he was riding a horse again and venturing into the unknown, that beyond looking at the stars, he could dive headfirst into them.
