He crosses those aisles like a castaway in a foreign land, and specifically with the dainty distaste of a castaway who has found himself on a desert island without a sunbed and a well-stocked minifridge and now has to figure out what to do with coconuts. He flips through covers with methodical rigour, getting a kick out of the revulsion that the maudlin choice of words and images on the reels’ covers evoke in his cultivated taste. The castaway keeps trudging along, scorning at the sand.
