Summary
The abyss had stripped him of everything, but this—this fragile, breaking thing inside him—he had kept buried. Had locked it away beneath masks of confidence and bravado, beneath sharp smiles and sharper blades, beneath the name Childe—not Ajax, never Ajax.
Ajax had drowned in the abyss.
Childe does not know what came back in his place.
And yet, here Zhongli stands, speaking to him as if there is still something left worth salvaging.
Or, in which Childe learns to deal with his trauma, and Zhongli stays.

Summary
Childe has feelings for Zhongli. Zhongli has feelings for Childe.
Things could be so easy, but not when you're a fatui harbinger with abyssal taint and a literal god. Both of them having to deal with their difficult pasts and presents, on top of their obvious differences and their own insecurities. Because if you ask either of them? There's simply no way that the object of their affection could ever have feelings for them. Not after everything they've done in their past.

Summary
“Intra-Cognition is null. Responds only to destructive stimuli.”
The sentence barely registers in Mydei’s mind as he stares at the shadow of the man who was once Phainon, who sits completely still in a chair, dull eyes staring sightlessly ahead.
“Damage to mind function detected… Possibly irreversible…”
The Antikytheran-like man continues reading through the digitized logs impartially, as if merely reciting a speech. But every single word he says drives another stake into Mydei’s heart.
Mydeimos the Undying scarcely bowed his head, rarely lowered himself onto his knees, and never, ever begged. And yet he finds himself doing all three things now, before the broken shell of his beloved.
---
Irontomb’s birth is prevented, and Amphoreus is saved. But it’s at great cost to Phainon, whose psyche finally crumbled under the devastating damage to his mind, body, and heart.
But Mydei and the other Chrysos Heirs will not accept this outcome. For what is a dawn without the sun?

Summary
Not soon after Diluc came back from his rampage through Snezhnaya, Kaeya started to feel a slight tingle in the back of his throat. An itch, like those he got before coming down with a cold. It was a bit unusual, after all it was summer and no one around him was sick, but he tried to write it off as standing in the rain for too long while on a mission. He'd just drink some warm tea each morning and then everything would be fine.
But it wasn’t fine.
-
Kaeya knew that Master Diluc hated him. He had known for a while, if he was honest. The last proof he needed to be sure of this fact was when he started coughing up flowers.

Summary
Despite being his best friend, roommate, and business partner, there was surprisingly little that Cheng Xiaoshi really knew about Lu Guang.
His roommate rarely shared anything about his past life. In fact, to-date, all that Cheng Xiaoshi had been able to pry out of him was that he was:
1. An only child
2. Allergic to bananasCheng Xiaoshi was still unsure if that second one was an actual allergy, or just one of those things Lu Guang said because he didn’t enjoy the fruit's texture.
He was unsure about a lot of things about Lu Guang. It frustrated him.
The younger boy was decidedly a closed book. Conversations about their childhoods always circled back to Cheng Xiaoshi, so did ones about their parents, friends, and dating lives before they met each other. Cheng Xiaoshi had been able to shrug it off before, but the longer they knew each other the more it felt like Lu Guang was keeping secrets.
He seemed particularly nervous about the topic of romance.
Or:
Cheng Xiaoshi decides to pry. Why would his best friend be keeping secrets? Would he ever be ready to share?
