Then, you meet the lady of the castle and her daughters, the mysterious and enigmatic Alcina Dimitrescu. Everything in you should hate her, should despise her and everything she stands for even. Even after facing the horrors that the castle has to offer, even after suffering with blood and pain, you can't hate her like you should. Your Lady and her daughters are surprisingly human...and a huge contradiction. What makes them tick? And why is it that there’s something that draws you to your Lady even after all the pain she put you through?

You've run from all you lost: your home, your family, your love. When your wanderlust carries you to a remote and eerily time-frozen village nestled in the Carpathian mountains, your only concern is finding a bed and work. Something that — you are assured by the local carpenter and his fearful daughter — can be found among the vast array of turrets casting a watchful eye over the shambled houses below. You quickly discover life at Castle Dimitrescu to be a waking nightmare, gruesome and shrouded in mystery. Why do the villagers accept the horrors within? Why are only women permitted entry? Who are Lady Dimitrescu's strange and lethal daughters — and why has the towering, beautiful and tyrannical countess taken a frightening interest in you?
Disclaimer: this story was fully planned out in February 2021, long before we knew anything significant about Lady Dimitrescu and her girls (and at a time I admittedly knew absolutely nothing about Resident Evil). As such, this has little to do with the canon of the game and contains backstories, characterisations, village history, and original characters that are completely my own fabrication. Please enjoy.

Summary
Alcina Dimitrescu is a woman of grace. A countess, a business owner and practically a mayor. (Not that Miranda would let her call herself that.) She is a dutiful daughter, a loving mother and a trustworthy accomplice to her siblings.
But beneath all the glamour and shine, she is lonely. Not many find her nine-foot-tall frame all that appealing, and if they do then certainly not for the right reasons. Fetishists and gold-diggers wouldn't get her heart.
When a ragtag team of self-acclaimed vampires demands an audience with her, the last thing she expects is companionship. Next thing she knows, fate has swept her off of her feet (literally) and pushed her down a slip 'n slide head over heels, free-falling right into love.

One woman will face monstrosities, head on, in the name of the future of humanity. But with each encounter, she may be in the process of losing her own.
