I’ll humiliate their whole team; I swear I will!
Goosebumps broke out across the skin of his arms, chasing the memory over his whole body. It was like he was transported back in time. With one phrase, he was living that moment all over again. He could almost smell the leather of volleyballs, hear the unique echo of shoes in a large gymnasium, and worst of all, he could still feel the sting of defeat stapled through his heart.
He supposed he had a lot of practice feeling that particular sensation.

White drowned himself in the river and his brother didn’t come. He lost count of the times he drowned himself before he realized Black wasn’t ever going to come get him. Black clearly didn’t want White around. And White wanted his brother to be happy, and this was what his brother wanted, so White went back to his father.
Now Black didn’t want his baby brother to be hurt, but he wanted him safe. And White went home, which was all Black ever wanted, so why did everything feel so fucking wrong?

Summary
Ten years ago, twins Black and White were separated to sever the powerful connection between them. It worked. With White in Russia and him in Thailand, Black hasn't felt their connection since they parted ways. Until one day, seemingly from nowhere, Black feels an agony close to death with no discenerable cause. Realizing it must be his connection to White, he starts to investigate.
Seemingly vanished from his perfect life and his new career at the heart of Thailand's legal system, White's disappearance presents an opportunity for Black, who decides to step into his shoes and see just what his brother has been up to all this time.
Black's mission is two-fold: find out what happened to his brother and take down the whole corrupt system from the inside.

Summary
White’s father had been telling him to forget about his brother for the past ten years. “I’m sure Black has forgotten about you by now,” he’d say. As if. He knew his brother would be a stranger, but it was still his brother. Black would be happy to see him again after ten years, maybe fondly exasperated that it had been so long.
He didn’t think Black would look at him with absolutely no recognition. But their father was right. Black had long since forgotten him, twelve years of childhood memories completely erased when White left.
Black didn’t even know he had a brother, anymore.
