I wrote this for my Grade 10 English narrative assignment roughly a year ago. The assignment stated that we had to write about a secondary character to fill in a gap in the original novel. We had to write the assignment (*cough* fanfiction *cough*) as a draft, then sit in exam conditions and rewrite the entire thing from memory. I got a grade of B-.

Summary
Son of Stoick, Heir to Berk, talking fishbone, the first ever Viking who can't kill a dragon but never known as Hiccup Haddock.
Hiccup had enough of everyone and once he came across a particular dragon, he can't help but fill his mind with ideas. Ideas such as,
Running away.
He leaves and strives for a living outside in the Archipelago, but years after his success in befriending dragons, he's forced into a nostalgic predicament; forced to see familiar faces he wishes to erase from his mind. Especially the one and only girl he has yet to move on from.
What will Hiccup do? With his past catching up to him once more, with an upcoming danger from the dragon hunters?
"Maybe something stupid."
Or,
Hiccup runs away before fighting Hookfang without anyone noticing and leaves for the outer archipelago. He rises to an anonymous saviour of dragons and is soon forced to see the people of Berk that he left behind. They face an upcoming danger and maybe the Berkians will finally come to understand Hiccup and his dragon antics.

Yamaguchi Tadashi and Tsukishima Kei have been friends since they were kids. Surely the time would come that they would start dating, right? Well, fake dating at least. What starts off as a mutually beneficial arrangement between two best friends may turn into more than they bargained for.

“I don’t. That’s the problem.”
Kei shook his head.
“What if you pretended to have a boyfriend?” Kei clarified, picking up his water and taking a drink, never breaking eye contact. Yamaguchi cocked his head to the side.
“What do you mean?”
“If you have someone pretend to be your boyfriend, and he sees you with that person, he’ll probably leave you alone, right?” Kei said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world, like any cretin could have come up with the same suggestion.
“I guess so.” Yamaguchi didn’t sound entirely convinced.
“I think I can help you.”

Summary
Zuko Caldera is a gifted criminal psychologist, using his twisted genius to help the NYPD solve crimes and stop killers, all while dealing with a stressed mother, a serial killer father still looking to bond with his prodigal son, and his own constantly evolving neuroses. Zuko’s only ally is his sister, Azula, a TV journalist who wishes her brother would take a break from murder and have a normal life. Unfortunately for his sister, the only way Zuko feels normal is by solving cases with the help of his longtime mentor, NYPD Detective Iroh. Iroh’s one of the best detectives around, and he expects no less from his team, which includes Detective Sokka, a born-and-bred New Yorker who questions whether Zuko is a psychopath himself.
