Familiar heat rises up in Ace’s chest, and it’s like a spell is broken: he can smell the trash, hear the distant laughter as Bluejam’s crew heads off, feel the grime on his skin and the shard of glass under his leg that he used the first time to get them out of here. But grabbing it and cutting through the ropes took ages, Ace didn’t manage it until well after the flames rose up around them, licking into the hideout and filling the air with heat and smoke.
Not again. Not this time. No, this time, Ace has fire of his own.

Summary
The Revolutionary Army finds out that the Gorosei is after Luffy, it triggers Sabo's memories which leaves him to go and get Luffy as soon as possible and as stealthily as possible. Of course, Luffy doesn't argue this once Sabo has proven he's in fact the same brother who died. Now they just need a place to lie low, resulting in Sabo calling Ace (or the WBP and requesting to speak to Ace) explaining, followed by a reunion and the realization (for the WBP at least) that Ace is the sane brother.

Summary
For as long as Marco has known him, Ace has been standoffish. He's never deliberately cruel, but he's always been closed off from the rest of the crew. The walls he's built around himself are something they've all come to accept. The sky is blue, the sea is too, and yeah. Their youngest member is a little defensive and mean sometimes.
Or at least, he is until Monkey D. Luffy crashes onto their deck, all rambunctious laughter and stretchy limbs. Ace may be a pirate now, but he was a doting big brother first.
