Summary
The sequel to See You After The Apocalypse, telling the story from Chem!Tom's point of view.
When the Badass Heyworths get separated during a zombie apocalypse, Tom, Cara, and Pop make their way through the carnage to find Anja, Chris, and the babies. True love leads the way, etc. A Chemical AU featuring the characters from that story.
Trying a new format with this one - short chapters instead of one long oneshot. I'll post one a day for a week until it's caught up to where I'm at.

The prequel to Chemical. Long before Tom met Anja, he was a fifteen year old runaway just trying to save his sister and survive any way he knew how. But not every curveball that life sends us is meant to throw us off our game...some end up showing us the way, in ways we would never expect.
I recommend reading Chemical first if you haven't - this little story explains many small details and hints that are peppered through it. Covers the years from age 15 to 21 for Chem!Tom.

Thorin wasn't always so dark and brooding...
Years after the horror of Smaug and miles away from Erebor, Signí is a young dwarrowess working in her father's shop. As fate would have it, exiled dwarven prince Thorin finds himself living in the same village. Alienated and lonely in the world of humans, the two former childhood friends find themselves in love and finally have a chance to be together... but something sinister is lurking in the shadows. How far would Signí go for the love of her life? Will they create a new life together, or will the madness in Thorin's family prove to be too much?
This is the life of Thorin Oakenshield.
(This is a headcanon that won't leave me and fills in the years of Thorin's life between the arrival of Smaug and the quest for Erebor. I will try to stay as true to the events in Tolkien's texts as I can while exploring what he doesn't say, though for this story the characters look like they do in the films.)
