It isn't bad though, but he thinks he may have a chance at building their relationship up to more than it currently is before his possible inevitable death..right?
What's more to lose other than your life, and sanity trying to keep yourself calm and not scream into a pillow as you curse the gods for giving you such feelings of affection?(some of the story has been changed a bit to make sense and for fun)
