It was silent for a while, then Jimin held out his hand like he did earlier, a resolute look on his face, like he was trying to compensate for something. “Friends?” He asked.
It was a loaded question. Under normal circumstances, it sounded like they were just two people meeting, talking, and becoming friends. But Taehyung knew– they were attracted to each other, the unplatonic kind, but couldn’t act on it because it would just end badly if they did. This was simply a summer getaway, a fantasy that would eventually end when their time was up.
Shaking his hand once again, he agreed sadly, “Friends.”
