“you’re- you’ll die, jisung,” felix whispers as if he’s afraid to speak the word any louder, as if he’ll speak it true. “if you stay here-“ he pauses to sniffle, “-you’ll- you’re ill.” and jisung gets it. he knows what felix means; he’s ill on the outside but on the inside too. he’s deteriorating, wasting away in a heap of grime, sweat, tears, blood. he can feel the way his body has made an imprint on the bed, sinking deeper and deeper into the crevice until he feels claustrophobic with it. until everything encompasses him, trapping him in a pit of his own filth and despair.
“i can’t let that happen.”
they’re both just a little fucked up. both on imperfect, improper paths with no real intention of helping the other get better but no intention to make the other worse either.
a solid middle ground. a push and pull force.
maybe this is what makes jisung and felix work. maybe this is the reason they shouldn’t.
maybe this is reason to get better.

Summary
Hyunjin has been at JYPE psychiatric facility for six months, and he has no intention of leaving. He's perfectly happy deflecting questions about his feelings, tonguing his meds, and sharing a singular (illegal) iPod nano with Jisung, Seungmin, and Innie. So what if he can't exactly remember chunks of his childhood, and so what if the mere notion of rejection makes him want to rip his hair out? So what if he's running out time before he's passed on to the next inpatient hospital?
Felix has been a dancer for the Poirot Ballet since he was thirteen, and he has no plans of stopping dance (or his determined path towards perfection) any time soon, no matter how much his body wants to take him out of the game. So when he's sentenced to two weeks of mandatory inpatient treatment for a supposed 'Adderall dependency', he's less than thrilled. Just another someone who had died in this forest. But she wouldn't go down without a fight— her hands tried to push her soon-to-be murderer away. All while screaming loudly in hopes of some hero showing up and saving her.
"Please don't. I beg y—!" Before the woman could finish her, his hand moved from her hair to her neck instead.
