“Oh my god,” he mumbles, barely above a whisper. “You cannot be fucking serious right now. Quit ages ago but now you're so desperate you're stealing from a dead guy." But up he gets, and trudges over to the closet, opening the door before getting down on his knees and reaching into the dark space to the left until his fingers feel the denim. He can’t even see the vest like this, but he squeezes his eyes shut and feels around, muttering, “Please, please, please,” under his breath before he finally feels the crumpled cardboard.

The woman laughed quietly to herself and shook her head, before saying, “Thank you,” as she took the tape and turned to leave. He made his way quickly through checking movies out to the three people who’d been behind her in line, grateful for the distraction. But the second there was no longer a line, there was the damned thought again. The pants. Well, it wasn’t really all about the pants. It was about Munson, and what little- well, no, and that was part of it, he thought– he left to the imagination with the pants.

Steve scoffed and chuckled lightly, tilting his head. They turned on the street where the Harrington house resided. "Would've what?"
For the first time in a while, Eddie found himself truthfully embarrassed to finish his sentence. His smile turned wry, almost sheepish. "Ah, I don't think... we're new, Stevie, and my comment was all kinds of fucked up--"
"Tell me, Eddie," Steve said as he parked the Beamer in his driveway.
Eddie swallowed. There was no distraction of the road to cover up what he was about to say and he rolled his eyes. "I... might've... I was kind of going to say something about making you a mother of three," he breathed hoarsely.
Steve went pink but was suddenly grinning from ear to ear. He was silent as he got out of the car and pivoted to open the back, letting the sun fall onto Eddie's features as he peered down at him. "Not six? I always pictured six."
After registering that response, without another thought, Eddie kissed him.

Eddie Munson survives the Upside Down and hides out at Steve Harrington's house to recover. Eddie completely changes Steve's life, sexuality and all.
