Summary
This is a retelling of Snow White, but not the Disney version. No, this is the darker origins of that story, where there was no step-mother as the villain, but rather a birth mother greedy for money, and the seven dwarves were not dwarves at all, but children working the mines.
It features Madara as Snow White, being the second daughter of the Uchiha, and Tobirama as the Prince who saves her, his science akin to magic for many, and his actions viewed under a lens of misconceptions. Poor guy will never outrun the necromancy claims.
I have attempted to craft a story where there is no magic, but rather believable incidents that could have given root to the fairytale, but there are instances where I have taken liberty with the science applied.
The evil in this story is no witch, but a human like every other character, warped by her own upbringing and succumbing to her darker inclinations. She will get her comeuppance though, and there will be a happy ending for the main characters.Bookmarked by bashfulglowfly

Tobirama ignored the theatrics. “How did you get those injuries?”
Deidara lifted his apartment key like a trophy. “I was cooking. Burned down my flat. Go check the kitchen if you don’t believe me.”
Tobirama did believe him — because these men absolutely would burn down their own homes for an alibi.
His gaze snapped to Obito, who was wearing more casts than clothing. “And you?”
“Fell down a flight of stairs,” Obito said without blinking.
Tobirama turned to Nagato who was bruised black and blue. “Let me guess. You fell down the stairs too?”
Nagato didn’t even look up from his tea. “No. My girlfriend is feisty in bed.”“Kakuzu. What’s your excuse?”
Kakuzu, covered in stitches like a patchwork doll, answered in complete seriousness: “My cat.”
“Itachi,” he said sharply. “Why aren’t you injured?”
Itachi looked up from his tea with the calm of a man who had transcended earthly nonsense.
“I don’t have a girlfriend,” he replied evenly. Then, after a beat, “Or cats.”-Police officer Tobirama confront the Yakuza Uchiha clan

It starts as salt in the air and song in his blood, and then a voice calling him. Naruto's not one to shy away from anything so he follows the voice because their mission is over and they are returning to Konoha tomorrow.
An island sits waiting, her people slumbering, waiting for anyone to free her people so she can protect them with a fierceness that was robbed from her.
In the morning Naruto is missing and Sasuke and Sakura have to wonder why they seem to be the only people who care. Why Kakashi is insistent they return to Konoha empty handed despite always telling them teamwork means never abandoning your team for the mission? Why there are so many damn secrets surrounding Naruto?
