He made it through some how and is now happily living on an alien planet 13 lightyears away from Earth surrounded by alien rocks. Hooray... He has finally come to terms with the fact that he will be the only human being he'll see for the rest of his life, when a panicking Rocky appears at his door in the middle of the night yelling about a bloody submarine he and Adrian found floating in space...and theres something living inside.

Also, there's a human passed out on the floor next to him. One that he had spent the past six weeks thinking was a hallucination. This is going to be so embarrassing when this guy wakes up.

Rocky darted out of the way. The door shut with a decisive whirr-click.
The endless glug-thud-squelch of Ryland Grace's body seemed very loud in the small room. He made a noise that sounded like, "Huh?"
"Grace and Adrian talk now," Rocky commanded. They pointed one arm at them. "Talk until both normal."
"What?" Adrian said, baffled.
Rocky clattered several claws against the ground, a discord of pique. "You are both annoying! Always polite, polite, polite. Bland. Empty."In which Adrian and Grace haven't really been getting along, and Rocky takes matters into his own claws.

“What are you talking about?” Grace's fingers played quick chords as he spoke. He didn’t even look as he did it, but it did not make them any less purposeful.
“Discussing possible reasons why Tau Ceti is not infected while other stars are,” Eva replied deftly. “I would invite you to join, but we were just finishing—”
“Oh, that’s easy.” His hand twisted a knob, and the notes came out sharper. “It is infected—Petrova Line and everything.”
In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.
