Shane makes that noise again—soft, pleading, like a whine—and Ilya succumbs, is helpless to.
He recognises it for the wordless plea it is, and gives Shane exactly what he wants. “Shanebug,” Ilya says softly, and Shane melts into his chest, every last string holding him up cut. “I love you.”
