Summary
Laurent was glacial water—cutting, controlled, constrained—rushing toward ending Damen. He carried his trauma like boulders, using it as a weapon, never pausing to process or set them down.
Then, suddenly, he bursts into a future he never intended and a man who makes him want it.
Like an alluvial fan—formed when a flood escapes onto a plain—he’s free, but his identity, trauma, and needs are no longer things he can hold together. In this story, Laurent walks the shape of himself, tracing that incoherent debris of survival—the memories, intrusive thoughts, coping patterns—and all the silt where he might plant himself: trust in Damen, friendship, sex, love.

Suddenly, his hand presses down on something large and pillowy. Hikaru curls in on himself and chokes out a gasp of air. Then he laughs, and Yoshiki feels it against his hand.
“What was—”
“Stop punchin’ the air outta my lungs!” Hikaru wheezes out. “Feels really funny.”
Yoshiki recoils. “Yer lu—you’re just playin’ with me, right?”
Hikaru grabs onto his hand, preventing him from pulling out further. “Not joking. You can probably squeeze the air right outta me.”
This sends a chill down Yoshiki's spine.
Hikaru tugs on his arm, urging him forward until his knuckles brush against it again. The lung. “Just be gentle,” Hikaru says. “I don't mind ya touchin' it.”
Hikaru wants to keep testing Yoshiki's ability to resist impurities. Yoshiki is interested in learning the intricacies of Hikaru's insides.
