    Summary

The first thing Sukuna has in his memory is the image of his small hand holding onto another in a dark and warm place.

Fetal memory people call it, and Sukuna is not sure if the memory is real or not. It certainly feels like it is every time the same hand holds his. Like the moment they were born and placed next to each other, or the moment they found each other on a crib, or the moment Sukuna was the first to learn to walk and wanted — forced — Yuuji to do the same, or when they went to kindergarten together and sat with their hands still joined, or that moment, or that other moment, or—

The word alone only applies to Sukuna when Yuuji is with him. Sukuna being really alone would mean that he doesn't exist.

Every year, on the Winter Solistice, a sacrifice is chosen from within a small nameless village to appease the ravenous God of the Woods, Ryomen Sukuna. Yuuji volunteers himself as tribute, throwing all his dreams aside, not out of loyalty to his village but to save the boy he’s always loved.

Upon meeting the fearsome God of the Woods who wrought so much pain and destruction upon Yuuji’s village and himself, Yuuji finds that even spring can bloom amidst the coldest of winters.

“I tried to hate you for so long,” Sasuke says. “But you put yourself inside me and the skin grew shut and then I couldn’t push you out— I couldn’t get you to leave,” Sasuke blinks, looking away. Then: “I wanted you so bad,” he confesses, the words coming out a broken whisper. “I wanted you so bad.”

    Summary

Simo Häyhä could have easily been the god of war.

And that thought irritated Loki more than ever, because the sniper, during his solo hunts, proved to be infinitely superior to any other deity who boasted the titles they held but who, in practice, did nothing.
Simo, on the other hand, seemed to be one with his rifle. He shot and hit targets with a naturalness that sent chills down one’s spine, and waited patiently for hours under the snow for another to approach so he could eliminate them.

Just as he hunted the Soviets, they too had set a precise, inevitable goal: to hunt the White Death.
That personification of death that made them tremble like children and beg for their lives. Who hunted them one by one and knew no mercy.
Simo Häyhä was a war machine like no other, free from bloodlust and sadism. The homicidal instinct existed, of course, but it was cold, calculated, contained, and had to be fulfilled exclusively as his duty as a soldier.

And Loki, who in his existence as a god had played, deceived, seen, and eliminated the maddest and most illustrious men and the most aberrant creatures, froze in front of that gaze.

    Summary

The end of Ragnarok had finally come as the last fight over the fate of humanity had come to a close.

Spectators from both sides looked on with belated breaths as they all watched. But, in the end, Brunhilde's efforts were not put to waste.

Humanity has won: they will continue on for the next thousand years.

Though there was one condition to this victory, as stated in the rule book. If humanity were to win (as was the case), the champions would collectively receive one wish that would be granted by the fates.

The wish the warriors choose, though, will shock Valhalla and a certain sea god.

    ---

Ragnarok is won by humanity and now they want the ones who have perished to come back, especially certain somebodies.
