   Summary

   From the shadows, Verso watches the expeditioners. He knows what he has to do, but as he watches Gustave with Maelle, duty is mired with gratitude and jealousy and worse: stolen memories of a different Verso with a different Gustave. Atop Stone Wave Cliffs, he must decide whether to linger in darkness or to step into the light.
