One word, so grave and calm, comes from the man Akihiko's currently got pinned to the ground. Dark eyes look back at him steadily, out of place in this madness. He can hear Shinji's wheezing breaths behind him. The man at the mouth of the alley still has his gun pointed at Akihiko. Polydeuces' electricity is still coursing through him, crackling through the charged air. He can't breathe.
The stranger's brow furrows almost imperceptibly. He speaks again, his gaze locking Akihiko in place. His voice is steady but commanding when he says—
“Get off me if you want him to live.”

Two investigators are sent to look into a revenge website that's supposedly been leaving a trail of corpses in its wake and get caught up in something way bigger than themselves.

He wants so badly for Adachi to be comfortable at every stage of their relationship, so he has been willing to put off other forms of physical affection until Adachi was ready. But that little brush of thumb brings back to his awareness all the things he still wants to do. He jerks his hand away, not wanting Adachi to see it all and be scared off again.
But Adachi reaches for his hand again. He shakes his head a little. “Kurosawa,” he says firmly. “It’s okay. I—I told you, I am okay with losing the magic.”

Dedue, wonder of wonders, actually sets the dishes down to tug at his scarf, and it takes all Ashe has to keep himself from laughing in adored amazement. Instead he covers his wide grin with one hand, leans on his elbow to try and make it look natural.
The quirk of Dedue's brow says he hasn't been successful. Still, Dedue says, low, warm, "I would like to chase you and have you, so the world may know you've chosen me." His voice is steady, even as the tips of his ears, his cheekbones, shade red, and Ashe wants every inch of him. "I have begun making the necessary arrangements, if you accept."
