Summary
The loss of the Quidditch match still burns under Ilya’s skin. The Snitch had been right there, and he had missed it. Too busy taunting Hollander instead of focusing on the game.
His hands slip under Hollander’s damp jersey, rough and searching, tracing over warm skin like he needs something to ground him. Hollander lets him, doesn’t fight for control this time, and that almost makes it worse.
Because Ilya should have won.
And instead, he’s here. Breathless, frustrated, and tangled up with the one person he should want nothing to do with.
Still, neither of them stops.

Summary
An indoor grill, a wooden cottage, Ilya’s smug little smile, and Shane’s perfectly reasonable concern about basic fire safety.
Then the alarm starts screaming.
By the time Shane reaches him, Ilya is on the floor, too still beneath the smoke, his hand stretched toward the door like he had been trying to get out before Shane could come in after him.
And Shane realizes, with terrible clarity, that he cannot imagine a world where Ilya does not wake up.
