“C’mon,” he says. “Dance with me.”
Before Jimin can react properly, Cody grabs his wrist and tugs him off the stool.
Jimin stumbles forward in surprise.
“I—I don’t really feel like—”
“Come on,” Cody interrupts, grip tightening. “Don’t play hard to get. Just one dance.”
Jimin tries pulling his hand back gently.
Then harder.
But Cody only grips tighter.
Panic flashes sharp and sudden through Jimin’s chest.
“Stop,” he says, voice trembling now. “You’re hurting me.”
That single word, hurting, combined with the vulnerable glance Jimin flicks toward Yoongi at the same time, is enough to snap whatever patience Yoongi has left.
Before the moment can spiral any further, Yoongi rises from his seat and steps between them with smooth, startling precision. One second he’s beside them nursing a whiskey, and the next he’s there, sliding into Jimin’s space like a wall Cody can’t push through. His hand closes carefully around Jimin’s wrist, gentle but firm as he pulls him free from Cody’s grip and positions himself squarely between them.
“Enough,” Yoongi says quietly. “He said stop.”
