    Summary

Whatever carefully blank expression Lestat is trying on disappears like a slap. “Armand made a fledgling. Why would he do that?” Lestat asks.

“Oh, you know,” Louis says, watching the three dots of a new text pop up. “He knew Daniel was… important to me.”

He means to say it with rueful annoyance, as if to say, “so he ruined him.” But as Daniel’s text comes in—the most important question I should have asked you in that fucking interview: where do you buy coke in Dubai?—Louis’s voice trails off, his words maybe lacking some of the bite.

    or

Lestat misunderstands what Daniel is to Louis and tries to be a champ about it. Meanwhile Louis rediscovers his drug of choice—Lestat.

    Summary

He always looks nervous. Less so than he used to, definitely, but there is nothing Whitaker’s growing professional confidence can do for his face. He just looks like someone who is about to faint dead away with anxiety at all times, eyes huge and hair waving timidly over his pale forehead. When he smiles, he looks almost… he looks different, but he’s not smiling now. He’s staring at Robby as though he thinks one of them is about to explode.

[In which Whitaker takes a risk, Robby is all over the place, and I deal only in happy endings]

“Here.” The male EMT handed Robby a syringe. “Five milligrams of Versed.” He shrugged. “We were going to give it to him but he calmed down once he saw the needle.”
“Huh,” Robby said. “Normally you get the opposite effect.” He looked down at the patient. “You made the right choice, Jamie.”
Jamie just stared. Jesus, those pupils were huge. He was calm though, which was a good sign. Maybe it was something easy, like a small dose of LSD. That would be amazing. Obviously not for Jamie, who was probably going through a drug-induced ordeal, but great for his doctor, who wanted to shower and watch Great British Bake Off with his roommate.

    Summary

“M’ sorry for worrying you kid.” The softness is Robby’s tone is sickening, and Dennis takes a full step back as if the touch of his attendings hand burned. His back bumps against the door handle, and a familiar hiss echoes in the space between them.

Robby frowns, his hand falling uselessly by his side, the rejection settling deep into the fibers of his being. Maybe he had misread it. Maybe Dennis wasn’t worried, maybe he didn’t actually care. Or—fuck—maybe he cared the normal amount between a resident and their fucking boss. Robby takes a full step back, swaying against the alcohol still pumping through his bloodstream.

    OR

Dennis comes over to house sit and finds a drunk Robby who’s about to set off on his sabbatical that night. And other things happen.

“I put in 1095, but it won’t turn off!” Dennis shrieks, trying to be heard over the sound of the alarm. He knows that he didn’t get the numbers wrong because he’s staring right at them on the crumpled sticky note. “What am I doing wrong?”

“Did you push the off button?”

Dennis looks at the keypad, not seeing anything that says Off. “What?!”

“Put the code in and push the pound sign after.”

Dennis does as he’s told, except, in his panic, he hits the asterisk instead. “Shit.”

“It’s the hashtag,” Robby says, sounding entirely put out.

“I know what a pound sign is,” Dennis grumbles, hitting the button and noticing the word Off in the smallest font known to man under the #.

    -:-:-:-:-:-

Or, 5 times Dennis sets off Robby's alarm, + 1 time Robby does it himself.
