Summary
Sunday's eyes are fixed on the piano. He can't explain why, but something about it is captivating.
It's been a very long time since Sunday's played piano.
"Uh, Passenger Sunday?" the Conductor repeats, and Sunday blinks, stiffening as he glances down to meet their eyes, widened slightly in expectation.
"I - sorry," he stammers, clasping his hands together before him in an effort to keep him from tugging his feathers. "I was just - I didn't know there was a piano aboard the Express."
Pom-Pom glances back at it, a small sigh leaving their lips. "Ah, yes," they say, shaking their head. "That old thing... it belonged to Akivili, many years ago."
They say this in the same tone one might say we found it on the side of the road amongst the trash and not this instrument belonged to the long-dead Aeon of the Trailblaze.
The crew of the Astral Express, as Sunday quickly learns, love music.
Or: five times Sunday played piano for a Nameless, and once he played for someone else.

Summary
"Do you not put things in alphabetical order?" Sunday asks weakly, watching as March tears open a box and leaves it at her feet on the floor. His wings twitch anxiously. "Wouldn't that make it easier to find?"
"Oh, Sunday," March laughs, reaching out to swat his arm playfully. "Around here, we just remember where things are. There's no need for any complex systems at all."
"It might be a good idea," Himeko muses, pinching her chin thoughtfully as she gazes up at the shelves. "Well… we've already started. Nobody's ever had a problem with it before, anyway."
Sunday bites the inside of his cheek and swallows blood.
After destroying his own life and leaving everything behind to travel with the Astral Express, Sunday finds himself slipping into old habits.

"Aoi," Nene whispers.
Her gaze is utterly helpless, her body paralyzed with a fear that Aoi doesn't understand. She has seen something inside this house that has made her like this. That much is clear. Aoi had only heard the explanation of you died - all of you died - he made me hurt you, but that was before and I won't do it again, I won't, this is going to work to give her an idea of what had gone on. Something about alternate timelines. Something about her own death at Nene's hands. Even as insane as it sounded, it could never be enough to make Aoi falter.
She'd do anything for Nene, even die, if she asked her to.
Aoi has never really thought much of herself, despite what the girls in her year think. Her sense of self worth is in the negatives. So when her best friend asks her to do something incredibly drastic, she can't bring herself to say no.

"I didn't want to just use your ability or anything," Mitsuba blurts. No, it's way more embarrassing than that, and he's starting to think this was a bit of a stupid idea. "I guess I just... I mean, all I really wanted was, uh..."
Shijima furrows her eyebrows, looking slightly annoyed. "Come on, kid, spit it out already."
"I just wanted to be friends with you," Mitsuba rushes to say, and then tries to force a grin to make him look less like a loser, which he doesn't think works at all.
Shijima stares at him like he's grown a second head. Mitsuba falters, smile wavering, and he drops his gaze to his hands.
"Uhh..." Shijima utters. She sounds somewhat taken aback. "...Why?"
One of the things Mitsuba wants most in the world is to have someone to talk to. One of the things Shijima wants most in the world is some peace and quiet. However, he might just have the perfect tool to use to sway her.

Summary
How embarrassing, to be an exorcist who faces dangerous supernaturals on the regular and to be shivering at the sight of a spider on the wall. Teru would laugh.
...Teru probably wouldn't laugh. Teru would smile sympathetically and take care of it for him, and then ruffle his hair and tell him it's ok to not be able to do everything. He wouldn't intend for it to come across condescendingly, and Kou would be the asshole for interpreting it that way. He'd feel guilty for it afterwards. He'd remember Teru telling him how weak he was and feel sick.
Kou needs to grow up and deal with this on his own if he doesn't want any of that to happen.
Kou's been having bad dreams lately. His old wounds seem to only be getting worse, and they're becoming much harder to hide. However, an old acquaintance lurks in the shadows, and might have a helpful trick that will take Kou straight from the frying pan into the fire.Series

Waking up next to Chuuya in the morning is like watching something divine slowly being drawn out of slumber, blinking open his eyes in a way that is so captivating yet mortal. Chuuya is the balance between Godly and human, and Dazai would never have him any other way. “And when they do, they finally leave the water, which is where they’ve been living for their entire lives.”
Chuuya listens intently.
“And then, in one to two days, they die. Isn’t it ironic?” How something that takes two years to build up topples into nothing within twenty four to forty eight hours? How something that beautiful is designed to only exist for so long?
That is Chuuya and Dazai - two mayflies together, leaving their natural habitats and escaping the water, only to die within one day, doomed by their own choices. The moment they are truly free of their inhumanity will be the moment that their dead, limp bodies plunge back into the sea.
