Jihoon never tried to really explain his bond with Soonyoung when others ask.
To him, their relationship wasn't something that could be constrained to a label. They were best friends, but that term didn't quite depict the intimacy. Being a couple didn't describe them either. They hugged tightly, spent the majority of time together, and communicated with looks alone; but they didn't kiss. At least never on the lips.
But they were only getting older. With enlistment coming up, Jihoon had to try. Because waiting was the worst thing he could do.

Mark shuddered and let out a shaky breath. His resolution shattered. “Yes,” he admitted, “yes you do.” His shaking hands snaked to Donghyuck’s hips and squeezed, earning a soft moan out of his pretty lips. It was over. Mark lost.
Donghyuck grinded against him, also half-hard, and Mark threw his head back against the bed frame out of pure euphoria, “Fuck, baby, what am I supposed to do about you?”

Dongmin lets his gaze drop over him, slow and deliberate, then brings it back up. Donghyun hasn’t looked away once, which does nothing good for Dongmin’s heart. He doesn’t try hiding the tone of his voice when he asks, low enough to be intentional, “Are you interested in anyone right now?”
There’s a pause. Donghyun seems to think it over, his head tilting slightly, and for a suspended moment, Dongmin thinks, this is it, this is when it happens.
Then Donghyun smiles, breaking the moment, giving a small shrug. “Not really.”
