Summary
Levi looks up from the letters, unimpressed. “I think this is shit.”
“That’s a rather harsh assessment,” Erwin says, annoyed by the defensiveness he can hear in his voice. “Perhaps you’d care to expand on your criticism?”
“I want to drown in the perfume of your hair…the touch of your hand makes my blood sing…” Levi reads aloud, his tone flat and damning in its apathy. He tosses the papers down onto the table. “You said you wanted to manufacture a huge public scandal. You used the word titillating. No one’s getting wet reading that shit, Erwin. I’ve read supply request forms that were more morally offensive. If you use this garbage, your little farce is dead on arrival.”
“You write it, then,” Erwin challenges. “If you think you can do it better.”
Levi crosses his arms over his chest, eyes narrowing. “I think I could do alright.”

Summary
“Didn’t think Olympians smoked”, Zeke muses.
“Lucky I’m not one”, Levi murmurs.
Zeke smiles, delight creasing his eyes. Levi breathes in deep, it fills something in him, seeps contentment through his bones. He remembers his mother smoking, and Kenny does, and so it’s comforting in a sense. Like coming home.
“I’ve never seen you look content”, Zeke bumps their shoulders. It almost knocks Levi off his crutches. “It’s a good look on you”.

Summary
Despite the front of normalcy Erwin puts up Monday, things are noticeably different as the week progresses. Despite claiming to have an extensive amount of work to do, Erwin is constantly hovering over Levi. Everytime Levi turns around, the blond bastard is right there — looking at him like he’s something Erwin would like to eat.
And it’s not just looks. There are now casual touches. Any chance that Erwin has, his fingers find their way back to Levi’s shoulder, his elbow, his waist. He touches him like a mate would, with that type of casual intimacy that reassures Levi that he’s not crazy for thinking Erwin is interested in him.
Halfway through the week, he returns to wearing his full uniform, and the effect is immediate.
“I think you missed a spot,” Erwin’s voice husks against the back of his ear. The warmth of his broad frame covering the entirety of Levi’s back. “Right,” he bends them both over to reach for the nonexistent spot. “Here.”
“Oh,” Levi breathes, reaching for the spot that Erwin just pointed out on the table. He has to lift himself onto the tips of his toes to reach it. “Sorry, Sir.”
He swears he hears a rumble in Erwin’s chest.

Summary
“Tell your boss to fuck off,” Levi says. “We ain’t got money. We ain’t got nothin’ he wants.”
“Everyone’s got something Erwin wants,” Mike says. “Here’s my advice for you, little guy. He’s gonna come to you, one day, offering you something. Something that’s gonna be hard to refuse. But you've gotta refuse, all right? For your own sake, you've gotta say no to him.”
If it were that easy, Levi thinks, the bastard wouldn’t own half the souls in this shitty town.
