“You need to relax,” Jayce tells him gently. “You’re verging on self-sabotage, okay? I know you got no sleep last night, but another cup of coffee isn't going to help.”
Viktor’s head presses to the wall behind them. A fleeting look of helplessness crosses over his eyes, as he considers Jayce’s words with a quirked mouth.
“I know. I know, Jayce, I… I just hate all of this beurocracy. Begging for funding. But making you do it alone would be so unfair. I need to be here. I just wish I wasn't so in my head about it.”
Viktor glances at him, a look so fleeting that premarital Jayce would have likely missed it. Beyond the haze of stress and purple exhaustion beneath his eyes, what almost manifests as a silent plea that Jayce is now so keen on.
Jayce lowers his voice further. “You want me to put you out of your head?”

Summary
He had about an hour left until closing when the man came in. He was tall, but with how wide his eyes were, almost like a doe’s, and how he clutched his hands in front of himself and wrung them, he made himself look much smaller.
“‘Scuse me, uh, do you have any rope?” The man asked, and before Viktor could wordlessly point to the shelf in the back that held their stock, he added in a sudden rush, practically hollering– “Ineeditforamagictrick!”
“I’m sorry, what?”
--Or, Viktor is a sex shop owner living in Las Vegas, and Jayce is the struggling casino magician who keeps coming to his store to buy props for his act. (For Bottom Jayce Week, Day 4: Lingerie.)
