Op. I swear to fucking god. You are such a legendary writer. I do not know how to explain this. But you make mundane moments feel so heavy. And i mean this in the best way possible. ou make it feel like every single second of it means so much more than just a mundane moment. It is so beautiful. I haven't cried reading a fanfiction in so long. Almost 3 years, I'd say? This is the first time in so long. After THREE WHOL EYEARS, your work made me cry. Tears of joy, hurt, and pain. I felt it so deeply, in my chest, in my heart, in my fucking soul. I love this thign so fucking much. Genuinely one that I will remember for a long time. Especially since the emotions were overflowing, it felt like I was them, experiencing those emotions. It's 5 am and I haven't slept yet. I feel crazy.
EXCERPT:
“That big, bright, reddish star in the shoulder of Orion,” Juhoon said, pointing. “That’s Betelgeuse.”
Keonho leaned closer, instinctively. “Oh. That’s a complicated name for a star.”
Juhoon laughed softly. “It’s nicknamed the Valentine’s Day Star because it reaches its highest point in the night sky around February 14th.”
“Really?” Keonho asked, his eyes reflecting the stars in the sky.
“Yeah. Betelgeuse pulsates and changes brightness because it’s a supergiant nearing the end of its life, so it looks like a beating heart.”
I am going crazy. The way it's called the Valentine's Day Star and Keonho being born on Valentines' Day. The way it's a supergiant nearing the end of its life, mirroring the end of JuKeon's so called "only friendship." The way it was specifically mentioned that it looks like a beating heart. Careful, deliberate choice of words. It's a supergiant nearing the end of its life. It's a friendship nearing the end of its journey of staying put, in one place. Because of hearts that beat louder, hearts that crave for more. I am devastated. Utterly, impossibly devastated. And I am so in love with this, author. Thank you so fucking much for writing this. It's not meant to end like this: Dohoon, seemingly changing his mind, and instead moving closer to Jihoon almost on instinct. Jihoon's hands are slipping, and their faces are barrelling towards each other until Jihoon plants a small, faint kiss onto the corner of Dohoon's mouth.
Kyungmin misunderstands a few things. Dohoon lies a little, and Jihoon falls apart.
