Bruce’s heartbeat is way too fast, even for the physical exertion of fighting. He bolts up in bed, calculating how to get someone to watch Conner at this time of night, then unfiltering his hearing so he can get a good idea where Bruce-!
“Ah…”
Clark freezes, heat rushing up to his face.
That… didn’t sound like a pained moan.
---------------------After their date night is interrupted, Clark overhears Bruce taking a moment to himself. It all works out in the end.
