Elijah always liked collecting pretty, pathetic things.
He liked to soothe them before he split them open. He liked to make them believe he was some sweet creature. He liked them to cry those delicate girl-tears as he fucked the holiness out of them against a wall.
Kol’s smile curved, slow and mean. He had none of Elijah’s patience. He preferred to watch the fear unfold in real time, to taste the moment the pleading turned into something else.
