In the greater scale of things, Mingyu's own feelings didn’t matter. He wasn’t a kid who got to be selfish anymore. If anything, the universe was telling him that it was time to get over his childhood crush, face the reality that he’ll never have a chance, and move on. Find someone new. Stop clinging onto a past that had let him go.
Maybe that’s why seeing Joshua show up in his apartment—in his life—after so long unnerves him. Because it’s proof that he couldn’t even commit to that simple advice.
Twelve years apart should've been enough to change many things between Mingyu and Joshua. But as both of them find out, love is harder to kill than they imagined.

“You know, I’ve always wondered what it would be like to disappear.”
Lying next to him, Minghao moves himself closer. There’s a piece of glass stuck in his throat. He listens, still.
“You think of peculiar things.”
Hansol purses his lips and nods in agreement. “I suppose, yeah. I don’t even know why I think of these things.” The clouds are faint and the winds are sharp, and in tune with it, “Do you think they’ll ever go away?”
Of course Minghao doesn’t have an answer. Yes, he thinks of lying, only because he doesn’t know. This will all go away and you’ll remember how to live again. You won’t ever think of dying on me.
Minghao, a demon, feeds on humans to live.
Then he meets Hansol, a boy who wants to die.

Summary
Minghao’s gaze follows the pathway of the razor, then the tiny pieces of hair falling from where he cuts them. September does marks the start of trees shedding their leaves to prepare for winter. There’s still enough of them to stay warm, but he does feel some cold air seeping into their rehearsals lately.
When he looks at Soonyoung, he feels the same cold air stinging his eyes.
