“I’m here for you.” James said, walking toward him. “I’m here to get you out of here.”
“You don’t have it, then?” Regulus asked, confused. “The letter.”
Or, Regulus mistakenly sends James a letter he wrote confessing his undying, completely mortifying, and extremely impractical feelings for the boy, and now he doesn't quite know how to proceed living his life after this embarrasment. But James might have an idea.

Summary
Regulus can always count on his mother to ruin his life, but after she actually tried to take his for good and failed, he’s more surprised to see everything aligning again.
