The kicker, really, is that Ron can recognize the look already; Harry’s looked at him like this before, many times, really, at breakfast or in class or at Hagrid’s, the Burrow, Hogsmeade—it’s how he looks at Ron, most of the time. Yet Ron isn’t sure he’s ever seen it quite this close, close enough to really take in the depth of it and the way it’s like Harry’s green eyes fill to the brim with affection.
