Summary
The hybrid wondered at what point the alpha and his mother had decided they would do everything in their power to deny him of helping them even the slightest. The two were especially strict when it came to scavenging for food or supplies. “It’s not good for the baby to put you in stress-inducing situations” Jungkook would say, failing to realize that by leaving the omega for two hours in the car in the company of his mother while he waited for the alpha to return was a stress-inducing situation for him. Those days were the worst, when the three of them knew they were running low on food or fuel and Jungkook had to make it work, somehow. Jimin always imagined the worst possible happening — the scenarios played out in his head like a nightmare too close to comfort, most ending with Jungkook getting caught by the Diligence. Without him, the footsoldiers would have no trouble finding the two hybrids camped in the car. Jimin knew the alpha was the only reason they’d made it this far unnoticed. The sergeant's knowledge of the institution he once worked for was invaluable for their survival.
