Suddenly, Guanshan turned around, expression blank.
"I don't get it," he said, after a considering pause.
"Get what?"
"That you are into that. What part does it for you, huh?" The words that He Tian would have found charming in any other circumstances sounded incongruous with the calm tone. Guanshan put his hand on He Tian's bicep and harshly pulled, bringing both of them to eye level, close enough to notice a stray eyelash resting against his cheek. He Tian's vision swirled, leaving only the red speck standing out. "Tell me."
The night before He Tian leaves on an impromptu six-week business trip, Guanshan makes a rather aggressive show of just how badly he wants him to stay.

Summary
Every time he would tell Ryan something in that stern voice, Ryan would shrink and give him the most wounded look in his eyes. At first, it made Naim feel bad. But eventually he figured out that Ryan would do it on purpose. He would push and push and do things he knew would get him in trouble. It was like a game, almost.
That was when the thread had started to unravel for Naim. Every kink in the chain was formed by some joke, some misunderstanding that went too far and had Ryan cowering at his feet with that hazy look in his eye.
Almost like a dog.

Somehow the blonde boy had completely hypnotised him. That was how Naim felt about it, for lack of a better word.
Otherwise he would not be so worked up over the fact it had been nearly two months and he still had not so much as grazed a hand beneath Ryan's waistband.
How absurd was that?
Or, Naim gets to the bottom of why Ryan never lets him get him off.

Summary
The last time he could taste the feeling of someone, or something, wanting him was Ryan. Another spirit deemed evil like him, banished to a life of others hating and fearing you as they forced you into something you weren’t. To say they wanted to be evil was inherently wrong. They didn’t want to be anything. It was fun, most of the time, but there was a haunting sort of loneliness that would settle over you like a stubborn fog, a constant reminder that you were entirely alone in an already lonely hollow darkness.
Naturally, he hadn’t crossed paths with Ryan in a while. Maybe twenty years, maybe two, maybe one day. When time stretched and decades blurred into one meaningless timeline, counting how long it had been didn’t matter to anyone anymore.
