Summary
When it came time to kill Jonah Magnus and burn the archives, Jon hesitated long enough for Martin to push the actual plan. Jon allowed the fears to be torn from him, and the world, and was left behind in the mundanity left in its wake. But damage was unavoidable after being so enmeshed with the Eye for so long. Annabelle hadn't lied. She never guaranteed the state he would be in once the world was saved.
Just that he would be alive.
But despite Jon slowly losing himself to an ever encroaching fog, time marches on. Monsters find their way back.

Alt; Dead monsters are coming back to life, and Martin can't help but be glad, when Jon does too. The others? Their feelings are much more complicated. At least Georgie is happy to see him.
