Ghost swallowed the grape before responding. "Why are you so obsessed with my face?"
"I'm not... obsessed." Soap scoffed, his cheeks definitely flushed. "I'm just naturally curious. But hey, it's all teasing, I know you must have your reasons. Can't blame me for trying though, you're just so..." he made a vague gesture.
"So... what?" Ghost slipped in another grape.
"I don't know, erotically mysterious." Soap blurted out and Ghost choked on the fruit.- Language:

Summary
He looks at Soap's back for an exit wound and closes his eyes in relief when he sees it. If Ghost had to dig around for a bullet, he knows it'd kill him. He's only faintly confident that the bullet entered above his lung. The blood flow is slowing a little, but Soap is more alert than Ghost thinks he should be. That can't be good.
"My gram made us go to church… learned ‘bout heaven…" Never mind. He's delirious. He must be.
"Soap, stop talking." Ghost smacks Johnny’s hand as he flinches from the antiseptic sting and tries to push Ghost’s wrist away.
"I've done this too long to go there… you think it's real?" Soap’s shaky exhale seems to echo around the room.
"Johnny, please." The plea falls on deaf ears.

“So,” his younger sister asked, voice teasing, “any bonnie lasses in the military?”
The opportunity had been perfect. It had felt like the universe was throwing him a lowball and telling him to go for it.
“Well,” Soap drawled out, twirling the fork in his hands. “Not any lasses, necessarily.”
The table quickly descended into silence, the ancillary conversations abruptly halting.
A pit started to form in Soap’s stomach as he realized he’d made a big mistake.
