He was overwhelmed trying to get through, swinging his bat violently he smashed another one or the zombies skulls in. There were too many, for every one he took down it felt like another two took its place. He was going to die, he was sure of it, he survived the world going to shit, he survived being trapped in a collapsing building, he survived losing his best friends when he should have been able to protect them. He survived all of that only to be bested by some undead motherfuckers in a stairwell.
